Data Analytics Engineer - HomeQ

As our first data hire, you’ll play an important role in shaping how we work with data. The role offers broad exposure across product, tech, and business, with opportunities to develop your skills over time. You’ll take ownership, work cross-functionally, and contribute to building a strong data foundation as we grow.

About HomeQ As Sweden's largest marketplace for first-hand residential rentals, HomeQ brings together home seekers and real estate companies. We're a fast-growing scale-up acquired in early 2024 by Vend, the leading marketplace operator in the Nordics.

How we work You’ll be embedded in the Product team and work closely with business and marketing. As our first dedicated data professional, you’ll have real ownership in shaping how data is used across the company.

This is not a role where you wait for a backlog of requests. Youʼll help decide what matters, define how success should be measured and make sure we learn from what we build. The role is about turning data into a reliable foundation for decision-making and closing the loop between strategy, execution and results. You’ll also help establish ways of working, structures and best practices that make data more consistently useful across the organization.

Your mission You’ll take ownership of how data is defined, structured and used at HomeQ. Working hands-on with SQL, data models and analytics tools, you’ll:

• Define and align KPIs across product and business

• Improve tracking and data quality

• Ensure initiatives and experiments are measurable, tracked and followed up

• Support teams in using data to make better decisions

• Drive improvements in tracking and data quality together with engineering

• Build and maintain scalable data models that enable reliable, consistent analysis

We hope you have

• At least 2+ years of experience in analytics or analytics engineering

• Confidence in working with SQL and data models

• Experience collaborating closely with product managers and engineers

• Familiarity with BI and analytics tools like Metabase or Amplitude

• The ability to take ownership, work independently, and drive initiatives forward

Its a bonus if you have experience working with data governance or GDPR.
