Senior Security Engineer

Job description

Are you an experienced Security Engineer who prefers building real security solutions over managing compliance on paper? Do you thrive in high-autonomy environments where custom AI agents, automation, and modern tech stacks are part of everyday operations?

On behalf of our client—a global audio-tech pioneer scaling out of Stockholm—we are looking for a Senior Security Engineer. Our client powers millions of content creators and streaming platforms worldwide with sound and music. They operate with a true "startup mentality at scale": low bureaucracy, fast execution, high engineering autonomy, and an ethos of taking what they do seriously—without taking themselves too seriously. If you want to shape how an industry leader builds securely at scale, this is your stage.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Security Engineer, you won't just manage risk—you will actively build tools, shape security architecture, and protect the company across three connected surfaces: the products millions of customers use, the platform internal engineers build on, and the systems employees rely on every day.

Sitting within the Business Tech Division and reporting directly to the Head of Security, you will treat security code as production-grade software. Building custom AI agents, automating security workflows, and hardening cloud infrastructure is a core part of how the team operates.

What you will be doing:

  • Security Automation & AI: Build production-grade security tools, automations, and custom AI agents (using Python, Go, or Bash) that engineers and the wider business rely on daily. Evaluate emerging AI models against security standards.
  • Cloud & Platform Hardening: Harden and secure the GCP estate, Kubernetes platforms, Docker environments, and CI/CD pipelines that engineering teams depend on.
  • AppSec & DevSecOps Partnership: Partner directly with software engineers to embed security into the SDLC through threat modeling, pre-ship input, and code reviews (using tools like Snyk and Port).
  • Vulnerability Management & SIEM: Own the vulnerability management programme across cloud, product, and enterprise environments. Operate and tune Elastic SIEM, building new detections as the threat landscape evolves.
  • Incident Response & Reviews: Respond to security incidents (including on-call), run team readiness exercises, perform vendor security reviews, and handle enterprise customer questionnaires.

Application

Ready to help build a secure digital environment for the future of audio tech? Please submit your application in English.

For this key recruitment, our client is partnering with Randstad Digital. If you have any questions about the position or the process, please feel free to reach out to Tova Cullbrand, Talent Manager at Randstad Digital.

Qualifications

We are looking for a pragmatic, hands-on engineer with a generalist mindset who loves solving complex security problems through code and automation. You value psychological safety, structured ways of working, and making data-backed security decisions.

We believe you have:

  • Around 5 years of experience in security engineering, with deep expertise in at least one area (AppSec, InfraSec, Enterprise Security, or Vulnerability Management) and solid breadth across the others.
  • Active experience with AI and agentic tools, with concrete examples of custom agents or security automations you have built and shipped.
  • Strong hands-on experience running or contributing to vulnerability management programmes (prioritisation, SLA setting, tracking, and reporting).
  • Solid working knowledge of cloud security (GCP preferred), Kubernetes, Docker, Git, GitHub Actions, and Terraform.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Python, Go, or Bash).
  • Familiarity with SAST/SCA tooling, Internal Developer Portals, and SIEMs (e.g., Snyk, Port, Elastic).
  • Experience with vendor security questionnaires and common security frameworks (e.g., PCI DSS, NIST).

It would also be music to our ears if you have:

  • A background in penetration testing or OWASP Top 10 fluency.
  • CI/CD security hardening experience at scale.
  • A track record of building internal security tools that other engineers actually want to use.
  • Experience communicating vulnerability metrics and risk postures to leadership.

What We Offer

Our client offers an inspiring, fast-moving, and inclusive workplace certified as a Great Place to Work. You will join an international force of innovators who value creativity, collaboration, and high impact.

  • High Autonomy & Impact: Direct influence on the company's security posture and tech culture with minimal red tape.
  • Engineering-First Security: A culture where security is built into the workflow, not tacked on at the end.
  • Modern Tech & AI Focus: Work with modern cloud-native stacks and build state-of-the-art AI agents.
  • Great Workplace Culture: Hybrid/flexible working, an open vibe, and an incredible team spirit.

Equal Opportunity Employer

We believe that bringing people together from different backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives makes for a healthier workplace and a stronger business. Everyone is encouraged to apply.
