IT Support Specialist

Job Description

The client is seeking a Senior IT Support Specialist to temporarily lead the IWS Support Team during a parental leave period. The team works closely with production operations and is responsible for maintaining stable performance and providing support for production-critical IT systems within the factory environment.

In this role, the consultant will act as the primary point of contact for production units, coordinate the team’s daily activities, and ensure reliable IT service delivery. The position requires close collaboration with production, engineering, and IT teams to improve operational processes and optimize ways of working.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and supervise the daily activities of the IWS Support Team, ensuring effective support delivery to production units.
  • Serve as the main liaison for stakeholders within the production value streams, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
  • Maintain the reliability and continuous operation of production-critical IT systems within the factory environment.
  • Gather requirements from production operators and convert them into clear technical specifications for IT technicians.
  • Plan and organize the required IT and operational capacity to meet project and production needs.
  • Monitor support performance metrics, KPIs, and operational data, using insights to drive service and process improvements.
  • Provide support to production units in financial tracking, cost balancing, and follow-up activities.
  • Act as the primary point of coordination during production-related IT incidents, particularly those that result in operational disruptions.
  • Contribute to local improvement initiatives and IT-related development projects within the production environment.
  • Work in close collaboration with production teams, engineering departments, and IT leadership to enhance operational efficiency and optimize working processes.

Education Required

  • Background in Information Technology, Business Analytics, or a related technical/business discipline is preferred.
