VIL Rig Engineer

You will join an operational team responsible for running and maintaining Vehicle-in-the-Loop (VIL) test rigs in an automotive software test environment. The work combines day-to-day rig operations with a strong focus on automation, structured planning of rig usage, and efficient fault tracing to keep testing running smoothly.

• Operate and support VIL test rigs in a production-like test environment.
• Perform rig fault tracing, troubleshooting and validation of test setups.
• Execute basetech testing activities such as software download, diagnostics and gateway-related testing.
• Analyze logs and communication traces using tools such as CANoe, Wireshark and DLT.
• Carry out basic electrical fault tracing in test environments.
• Contribute to planning and prioritization of rig usage together with the team.
• Support complete vehicle testing activities where needed.

• Hands-on experience in basetech testing (SWDL, diagnostics, gateway etc.).
• Experience in log analysis using CANoe, Wireshark and/or DLT.
• Basic electrical fault tracing skills in test environments.
• Mechanical and electrical knowledge and practical experience.
• Swedish driver’s license.
• Experience of complete vehicle testing.
• Knowledge of Vector tools such as CANoe and/or CANalyzer.
• Deep understanding of CAN/LIN/Ethernet protocols.
• Fluent Swedish and fluent English.

• Knowledge of continuous integration.
• Experience with baseline and binary management.
• Experience in general test automation.
